Our Process
Our process is simple. As we work with you on your informationtechnology and communication needs, we think it's wise to incorporate
the same level of communication with you as we work together.
Our process can be broken down into four steps:
Connect
We want to connect with you, the client. It's an important first step.
We need to communicate expectations, needs and ideas.
Many firms call this the discovery process. During this time, we work
together to ensure that everyone is on the same page. We want to know
about you company, and we want you to know about ours. Consider it a
time of intoduction.
What do you do?
How do you do it?
and what makes your company unique?
We'll also ask you more specific information about the solutions you
want us to help with.
What is the problem you are trying to solve?
How have you tried to solve it before?
What are your goals?
This is all very important information, helping us offer useful and cost-effective
solutions.
At the end of this step, we'll have a strong definition of the problem that needs
to be solved.
Conceptualize
After we go through the introductions and get a strong understanding of
the problem you are trying to solve, it's time to develop a concept.
During this time, we will start to generate some ideas for solutions.
Of course, we'll use the information you've given us to make sure our
suggestion is suitable.
We don't want to simply find a solution for your company. We want to find
the BEST solution. The best solution isn't always the one that costs the most.
The best solutions ensure that the original problem is solved and that the
end users are satisfied. We aren't a vendor, and we'll never oversell.
At the end of this step we will have a roadmap of a proposed solution.
Collaborate
After we have a proposed solution in hand, it's time to start working on the
implementation. Depending on the scope of the project, this could be a short
or long process. The conceptual design will include an estimate of how long
the collaboration step should take.
During the implementation we'll work with you as the project is completed.
This step can involve software and hardware acquisition, programming or web
development.
The implementation can be done by JGCS or the client. You can be as involved or
uninvolved as your skill and time allow. Remember, that it's important to dedicate
resources to the project so that we can maintain an open line of communication
during the implementation process.
At the end of this step, the solution will be complete. Additional time may be spent
to deploy the solution to your staff, including installation and training.
Compare
The last step in the process is to review the project. Together we will compare the
results of each step, to make sure that the final solution is truly solving the
original problem.
If there is a discrepancy, we'll go back and work to fix it.
This is an important time to look back and find some take-aways from the project.
What worked? What didn't? It's important for both our experience and yours to
keep track of our successes and failures.
Complete
After a thorough examination of all the project deliverables, we can determine that the
solution is complete.
Now, it's time to celebrate. Take a breath as you feel the satisfaction of a completed
project, and then return to what you do best: running your business.
